The Southwark Brick House
Designed and built in 2020, the Southwark Brick House rose from the ashes of a late Victorian double garage to the rear of a period terrace situated within the Thornbury Conservation Area, Bermondsey, London SE1. This surprisingly extensive modern home was imaginatively designed over 3 solid concrete floors with an amazing glazed blackened steel staircase, solid oak wood floors, large windows and gracious living areas designed to create a quiet, discrete yet super stylish home in central London.

At 1,360 sqft, you are unlikely to be short of space.

East & Central London are all within a short Uber ride of Bermondsey
Bermondsey High Sreett, the Tower of London, the Shard, Covent Garden, Borough Market, Shoreditch and Spittalfields are all easily accessible. The tube is 12 mins walk and there are bike hire points nearby. The house is located on a cycle superhighway into central London and out to Greenwich. There is an excellent hipster coffee bar 3 mins walk away and a large Tesco supermarket within 5 mins walk.

Privacy, peace, calm & nature
The planting at The SBH is supplied by our friends at Architectural Plants in Sussex. The specimen planting includes a huge New Zealand Tree Fern, a giant Phillyrea Latifolia - Niwaki clouds (Green Olive), Brazilian Ferns & Agapanthus. Each of terraces is secluded from neighbours, quiet and readily accessible from the interior rooms. This house is also solidly built with concrete floors through which sound doesn’t easily travel.

Space to stylishly entertain or calmly Relax
Though not a party house, the SBH offers a beautiful and stylish space for cocktails in the Japanese style top floor lounge, a civilised dinner party in the dining room overlooking the terrace, or a BBQ. The kitchen has extensive worktops, a large family fridge, dishwasher, washer-dryer, proper coffee machine and quality kitchenware for stylish entertaining at home.

Can you accomodate us within my budget?
Within reason, absolutely. The SBH isn’t a budget stay, being an expensive high quality build with very high quality Scandinavian original furniture. But for considered and tidy guests we will always try to work out a deal that works for everyone.
How Do you charge guest fees?
Mosts guests book via AirBnB or VRBO, but for those who have found our website and prefer to deal direct this can be accommodated too on similar terms and conditions.
